On the night of March 6th, 2022 I was driving my 15 year old daughter Ada to her favorite place in the world, Orlando Florida. We decided to leave early in the morning to get a good head start on the fun, but unfortunately that would never happen. At roughly 3am a drunk driver drove on the wrong side of the highway and smashed his car into me and my little girl. I escaped with some minor breaks, cuts, and bruises, but the same could not be said for Ada. She was stuck in the car for 30 minutes as first responders clamored to get her out and to the ICU. She suffered brain bleeding, several broken and fractured bones, and all the ligaments being torn in her knee. After weeks of surgery and prayer she was released from the hospital and brought home to start her new life. That’s when the bills came in. The drunk diver was uninsured and had no job, so we were unable to be awarded anything and were left to face the bills on our own. By the generosity of donations from those around us we were able to weather the storm and avoid financial ruin. Now, we want to pay it forward. At beADAmant we strive to one day be the largest non-profit that helps single parents pay for their and their children’s hospital bills if they are hit by a drunk driver with no insurance or job. It was only through the kindness of strangers and loved ones that we were able to make it, now we ask that you help us in saving other people the way we were!
